Kumta:  Aghanashini river and Chandika stream in Kumta taluk have flooded hitting the houses, roads and fields on the banks.

People from Igalkurve which has turned into an island due to overflowing Aghanashini were shifted to safety in boats. The water has even gushed into Taribagilu Deevagi and areas near Mirjan. Landslide besides the under-construction highway was witnessed at Khair. This created panic among the people.
