Udupi: One person was killed, while 21 sustained injuries in a road accident involving bus and a truck here at Jantra village in Karkala taluk in Udupi district on Saturday, 23rd February.

The deceased is identified as Maushika, aged 22.

According to sources, the mishap happened when the bus was enroute Shirva from Belmanne. The impact of collision made the bus topple, which resulted in claiming one life, while injuring twenty-one others. Four among the twenty-one injured are said to be critical. All the injured have been admitted at private hospital.

A case has been registered in Karkala rural police station.
