Bhatkal: There won't be any restrictions on persons who go out of Bhatkal with medical purposes, and they don't have carry any permission for it. They can go in the morning and return Bhatkal by evening, informed the Bhatkal Assistant Commissioner Mr. Bharath.

Providing information to SahilOnline over WhatsApp, AC Bharath said that most of the people from Bhatkal in the morning hours leave for Mangaluru or Udupi for medical treatments, and return in the evening after completing their work. Hence, there is no restrictions for such emergencies, and  people even need not get any permission from the government.

It may be recalled that a circular was recently issued by Uttara Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr. Harish Kumar, stating that from July 10 till the further notice, people from other countries, other states, other districts and even from other talukas will not be allowed to enter Bhatkal town including Jali Pattan Panchayat limits.

In this regard, when SahilOnline sought clarification from Bhatkal Assistant Commisoner Mr. Bharath on what about most of the Bhatkal residents who go to Mangaluru early in the mornings for medical treatment and return in the evening, AC replied saying, "There will be no restrictions. These people can go for treatment and come back in the evening".
