Night curfew: Bhatkal Qazis issue fresh guidelines for Muslims

Bhatkal: As the Karnataka government imposed statewide night curfew effective from 21st April to 4th May amid surge in COVID cases, Bhatkal Qazis issued fresh guidelines for the Muslim brethren to follow safety protocols.

Both the Chief Qazis of Bhatkal, Maulana Abdur Rab Khateebi Nadvi and Maulana Khaja Mohiuddin Akrami Nadvi Madani attended the meeting chaired by Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem in this regard. 

Following are the guidelines issued:

1. Isha prayers will start 5 minutes post-Azan, followed by Taraweeh soon after Isha.

2. Senior citizens and children should offer prayers from home and refrain from coming to Mosques.

3. The residents should offer prayers at their nearest Mosque and avoid visiting Mosques in other areas.

4. Wearing face masks, maintaining social distance is mandatory.

The Qazis also asked Muslims to pray to Almighty Allah to ease the sufferings across the globe and to bring the end of this pandemic soon.
