Udupi: A team from the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) arrived in Udupi to assess the loss incurred during the recent Tauktae cyclone on Thursday.
The team included officials from the National Highways department, Agriculture department, among others. The team visited places like Uppunda, Madikal, Byndoor, Maravanthe, Kaup Light house beach and Padubidri. Udupi Deputy commissioner G Jagadheesha and others were also present.
Later, team leader Manoj told media persons that the state government had submitted a report to the centre declaring that the coastal districts had suffered a loss to the tune of Rs 209 crore due to cyclone.
