Bhatkal: A complaint was filed by a minor girl at Murdeshwar police station in the taluk, against a man for harrassing her and giving death threats.
According to the complaint, the accused Harish Madhav Naik has been harrassing the girl and constantly provoking her to marry him. He has also been pressurising the girl’s mother to tell her to marry him.
The girl has stated that on 21st July, Friday when she was returning from college, Harish took this a step further. When she stepped out of her bus and started moving towards her home, Harish came on his bike and blocked her way. He then proposed her again and when she refused clearly, Harish slapped her and threatened to kill her.
She started to scream and upon hearing her, people from around started gathering. Seeing this, Harish fled from the scene.
The Murdeshwar police have registered the case and are investigating the matter.
