Mundgod: A woman gave birth to a baby boy while she was on her way to the hospital in an ambulance.

Nirmala Sali of Katur village in Mundgod taluk began experiencing labour pain on Sunday. She was being taken in an ambulance to the hospital but she developed severe pain while the vehicle was passing through Salgaon village and she delivered a baby boy in front of the Bananthidevi temple.

Both the mother and the child are healthy. 108 Ambulance staff Dhanraj told reporter that this was her second delivery. Asha worker Manjavva helped her during the delivery.
