Kumta: A meeting with regard to the construction of Multispecialty hospital in Kumta was held between a delegation of Kumta led by MLA Dinakar Shetty and NRI Businessman B R Shetty at Four season hotel in Bengaluru on Saturday, 21st September.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Dinakar Shetty opined that Uttara Kannada district is facing lack of well equipped Multispecialty hospital. He requested B R Shetty to assist the people of the district by constructing a Multispecialty hospital in Kumta as it is a central place in Uttara Kannada district.
Responding to the needs, B R Shetty said that he was willing to set up a hospital in Kumta long back, and a team of his representatives led by Dr. Kushal Shetty will be visiting Kumta on 5th October for the inspection of location.
According to MLA Dinakar Shetty, B R Shetty has assured that he would be ready to set up a hospital if the best place is made available.
MLA Dinakar Shetty said that B R Shetty had been to Bengaluru especially to discuss about this well equipped Multispecialty hospital which has been a long-pending need of Uttara Kannada citizens.
On this occasion Zilla Panchayat standing committee president Ratnakar Naik, Advocate RG Naik, Gaju Naik, Kiran Kamat and others were present.
