Karwar: "All bank officers must work in a responsible manner and monitor the transactions involving more money as the model poll code of conduct is in force in the district," directed Deputy Commissioner K Harishkumar.

Speaking at a meeting of the district lead bank, Harishkumar said that a committee had been formed to keep an eye on the flow of unexplained cash, for smooth and transparent conduct of the elections. However, even bank officials must monitor cash transactions. Accounts having transactions of more than one lakh must be reviewed.
