Brahmavara: More than 45 kilograms of marijuana smuggled in from Uttar Pradesh was busted by the police on Saturday near here after a tip-off from the Udupi District Crime Intelligence Bureau.

Police said that the marijuana was concealed inside a stalks of bamboo which were being carried in a truck.

The police have arrested the driver of the truck and his associate. A case has been registered and an investigation has been initiated.
