Mangaluru: ‘Complete pending work in two months’

Mangaluru: The work pending at Kateel Temple Brahmakalashotsava should be completed within two months, stressed MP Nalin Kumar Kateel while setting a deadline to officials. 

He was presiding over a preparatory meeting of Kateel temple Brahmakalashotsava on Friday.

He said the road from bypass road-Ullanje-Mithabaily-Poopadikallu-Kondela- degree college should be laid. The permission letter should be sought from owners of the land for arranging parking space during Brahmakalashotsava.  

District-in-Charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary said, “All the shops should adhere to the rules and regulations of the government in the temple premises. Those who fail to follow the rules, permits will be suspended.”The Minister said shops on the road in Kateel were causing many inconveniences to the devotees.

Survey

A survey should be conducted before widening the road. Notices should be served to those shops established on government land.  “The government had permitted the temple to sanction Rs 5 crore to the Brahmakalasha. I will visit the temple on Sunday and initiate measures for work,” said DC Sindhu B Rupesh. 

Additional Deputy Commissioner M J Roopa, MLA Umanath Kotian, ZP Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr R Selvamani was present.
