Mangaluru: The decomposed body of a man was found inside a house at Pangalayi in Puttur. The deceased man was identified as Chandrashekar Poojary (57).Sources in Puttur police informed that foul smell was emanating from the house for three days. Suspecting something amiss, a woman in the neighbourhood went near the house. She found doors closed from inside and flies swarming all over the house.

The local residents informed the police. The police broke down the door and found Poojary’s body in a decomposed state.

Poojary had been residing all alone at home. According to residents, Poojary never mingled with anyone. He used to open the door of the house only when his brothers or sister paid a visit. His brother Prabhakar had visited him on September 7.
