Mangauluru: A 10-year-old girl resenting her mother’s nagging about studying committed suicide at her house in Kammaje in Mulky police station limits recently.

The girl student was studying in the fourth standard in Marywill School, police sources said. The mother Shrilatha, who works in a private hospital in Kinnigoli had left for work. The girl who was alone in the house committed suicide by hanging from the window sill with the help of a ribbon, Mulki police said. The daughter’s suicide act came to light when the mother returned from work, police added.
