Mangaluru: A jeep driver was killed and eight passengers on board the jeep suffered injuries when a container lorry rammed a jeep at Bedrodi in Bajathooru on NH 75 on Sunday.

According to the police, the deceased is Aboobakar Siddiq (46).

The injured are Suresh, Mallik alias Ayub, Odiyappa, Raja, Praveen, Vasantha, Poovappa Gowda and Gururaj. The container lorry was bound for Bengaluru from Mangaluru when the accident occurred.
