Mangaluru:  District In-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary called upon the doctors to provide quality treatment to Covid-19 patients and help them in their early recovery.

He was chairing a meeting of medical colleges treating Covid patients at A J Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre. He said that as per government guidelines, private medical colleges should reserve 75% of the beds for Covid patients. The Suvarna Arogya Trust Task Force should upload details of the patients.

Treatment should not be denied to patients availing benefit under Ayushman Bharat-Arogya Karnataka scheme. Arogya Mithra is appointed to each private hospital to help patients in availing the treatment, Poojary said.

He urged the hospitals to adhere to treatment cost fixed by the government. The hospitals will be made to reimburse the fee, if administration receives complaints about exorbitant fees being charged by them. Any shortage in the supply of oxygen should be drawn to the notice of DC, Poojary told hospital heads.
