Mangaluru: A fun dive turned tragic for a teenager who drowned at the Mangala Swimming Pool on Sunday evening. This is the first death reported from the newly renovated pool run by the Mangaluru City Corporation.
Police have identified the boy as Yajnesh, 19. He was a resident of Maroli.

According to police, Yajnesh had visited the pool with his friends. Around 5.30pm, he was found unwell in the water. Though he was rushed to hospital, he was declared brought dead.

On the basis of a complaint from his father, personnel of Barke police station have registered a case of unnatural death.
