Eminent NRI entrepreneur and Chairman of Green Valley Sayed Abdul Khader Bashu pass away due to cardiac arrest

Bhatkal: The well known social worker and chairman of Green Valley institutes in Shiroor, passed away at a hotel room in the coastal city of Mangaluru on 25th July, Tuesday.

The deceased NRI Sayed Abdul Khader Bashu (54 yrs), was an eminent entrepreneur, philanthropist and a champion of education. He breathed his last due to cardiac arrest on 25th July, Tuesday morning.

Bashu was involved in a number of social service activities. He set up Deena schools for specially abled children. For conducting these activities, he had set up Syed Meeran Memorial Trust.

He also built homes for families of children not having houses, renovation of dilapidated houses. He founded Green Valley Public School and PU College in his hometown Shiroor in 2000. This has emerged as one of the most prestigious educational institutions in Udupi district.

As a mark of their respect for him, schools, colleges, shops, and other establishments at Shiroor remained closed voluntarily on Tuesday.

His funeral was conducted at Jamia Masjid at Kudroli, Mangaluru.
