Mangaluru: City Commissioner of Police Sandeep Patil along with DCPs Uma Prashanth and Hanumantharaya raided the district prison and seized six mobile phones, three knives from undertrials on Sunday.

Sandeep Patil said that the police will probe into call details. The raid was carried out to check if the undertrials had mobile phones and weapons while in the prison. A report will be submitted to higher authorities, he said.

Uma Prashanth said measures will be taken to ensure no untoward incident takes place in the prison.
