Mangaluru: Blood donation camp held on the occasion of first anniversary of 'Blood-Helpline Karnataka'

Mangaluru: The Blood-Helpline Karnataka celebrated its first anniversary on 6th August, Sunday at Forum Fiza mall, Mangaluru.

The programme was inaugrated by the Food and Civil supplies minister U T Khader. He appreciated the work done by them and said, “Donating blood when required by someone to save someone’s life is one of the greatest deed anyone can do”.

Khader praised the exuberant team of Blood helpline for arranging blood during emergency requirements in various coastal districts and other parts of the state.

The chief guest of the programme professor Pattabhirama Somayaji also praised them for their work and distributed identity cards among the blood donors.

The programme was presided by President Iftikar Krishnapura. B A Mohammed Kammaradi, Harekala hajabba and social activist Ravoof were felicitated during the occasion.

A blood donation camp was also hosted by them on this occasion. Minister U T Khader also participated in this and donated blood.

MLAs Mohiuddin Bava, J R Lobo, Mustafa Addoor Demmele, Khatheeb Abdul Azeer Darimi, A H Naushad Haji and others were present on the occasion.
