Mangaluru: Police arrest 3 accused in Pawan Raj murder case

Mangaluru: Three persons were arrested on 26th July, Wednesday by the police on the charges of murder of the rowdy-sheeter Pawan Raj, who was stabbed to death on Monday.

The accused arrested are Bipin, Sharan and Harish, all hailing from Vamanjoor. The motive behind the murder is yet to be traced.

Pawan (23 yrs) s/o rowdy-sheeter Vamanjoor Rohi was stabbed to death on 24th July, Monday late night at an old house in Vamanjoor. It is gathered that around 10 people including Pawan used to gather there and consume ganja on a regular basis.

According to the police, the assailants had left behind the weapons used for the attack at the crime scene. A cellphone, two sickles and a footwear were found there too. The walls had blood stains and Pawan’s body bore injuries in the neck and head.

Personal enmity or ganja trafficking was suspected as the cause for murder. Further interrogation of the arrested persons is expected to shed light on the entire matter.
