Mangaluru: State Minister for food, civil supplies and consumer affairs, Mr. U T Khader has termed the raids on energy minister D K Shivakumar's house as a part of BJP's ‘revenge politics’ and has challenged the central government to appoint Lokpal in the nation.
Addressing the reporters on 3rd August, Thursday, he said, “The BJP union government is using the official machinery for blackmail politics as the Congress government is giving a good governance without any corruption or black mark since four years.”
He further stated that the BJP leaders were speaking about corruption in the nation before they won the election and they also had held hunger strikes to pass Lokpal Bill. However, after winning the elections they have not yet passed the bill.
He pointed out that the BJP is involved in horse trading in Gujrat and as a result, Congress MLA’s have come to Karnataka seeking protection. “Let them appoint Lokayukta in Gujarat and show their concern", he added.
Khader further said, “Siddaramaiah, ministers and MLAs have completed four and half years in the government without involving in any corruption. If the BJP-led union government is so concerned about corruption let it implement the Jan Lokpal Bill. We condemn BJP's revenge politics".
