Ballari: According to the sources, a man named Thippayya,  resident of Chapparadahalli locality in Kampli town of Hosapete taluk, surrendered to the police after murdering his family.

The assailant Thippayya (40 yrs), allegedly beheaded five members of his family including his wife and three children. He then surrendered himself to the police.

It has been come to light that he suspected his wife of infidelity and in a moment of rage went suicidal and killed his wife Fakeeramma (36 yrs), her sister Gangamma (30 yrs) and his children Raju (8yrs), Pavitra (6yrs) and Bassamma (10 yrs).

Four of them died on the spot, while Pavitra breathed her last at Kampli government hospital. The only survivor of the family was his daughter Rajeshwari as she was at her relative’s house when the incident reported.

According to the police, Thippayya said that he suspected his wife for infidelity and that it was the reason for his cruel actions.
