Kumta: A body of a man was found dead on a railway track near Herwatta in Kumta on Thursday morning, 27th September.

The deceased is identified as Manjunath Sannayya Mukri (35), a resident of Navilgon in the taluk.

According to sources, it is yet to be ascertained that it was a suicide case or train collided him accidentally.

The locals who observed the body informed police. Police personnel rushed to the spot and conducted the necessary investigation.

A case has been registered in Kumta police station.
