Mangaluru: A man accidentally fell into the water while collecting clams (Maruvai) in the river Phalguni and drowned, at Adyapady dam.

Police said that the deceased was identified as Shankara Poojary (49), a resident of Moodushedde Edurupadavu. Poojary drowned while he was getting ready to leave after collecting clams.
