Udupi: A man drowned in the sea near Maaraswamy Varaha Temple at Maravanthe on Sunday.

According to police, the deceased is Chethan Shetty (41), a resident of Chithuru in Kundapur taluk.

He was washed away by a huge wave.

A video of him entering the water and getting washed away has gone viral on social media. Police are investigating the case.
