Honnavar: A man committed suicide by hanging himself to the roof of his house here at Karwa Jadihittal in the taluk recently.

The deceased is identified as Ganesh Jatappa Naik (44).

According to sources, the deceased was to consume alcohol excessively. His wife informed police that he might have taken this extreme step due to depression while he was intoxicated.
