Yellapur: A person has been arrested on the charges of allegedly dragging a middle-aged women from her house to the forest, and later raping her. The incident was reported in the Nagarkan area of the taluk.
According to the sources, this incident occurred when the woman was in her house alone on 23rd July, Sunday evening. Taking an advantage of the situation, Manjunath Nagayya Saddi, the accused, raped her and then warned her by saying that if she tells anyone about the incident, she will be killed.
The complaint has been lodged on behalf of the woman and police have arrested the accused.
