Bhatkal: A massive protest against 'Citizenship Amendment Act' and National Register of Citizens' will be launched in Bhatkal tomorrow on 23rd December, Monday, under the aegis of region’s prestigious socio-political organization Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem, in which thousands of people are expected to participate. 

It is informed that the protest rally will begin from Tanzeem Juma Masjid in Nawayath Colony at 10 AM and will mark till Anjuman Boys High School ground, after which the community leaders will address the gathering.

Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem have also appealed to the educational institutions of Bhatkal to remain closed on the day of protest.

It is to be noted that there have already been ongoing nationwide protest opposing the 'Citizenship Amendment Act', in which 24 are killed so far in nearly two weeks. 

Earlier few political parties had already submitted memorandums addressed to President of India and Chief Justice of India through local administration in Bhatkal.
