Bhatkal: M S Prakash took charge as the new Circle Police Inspector of Bhatkal on Monday evening.

New Circle Inspector MS Prakash was transferred from Bantwal near Mangaluru to Bhatkal. So far, CPI Ram Chandra Naik was serving as the Circle Inspector of Bhatkal.

After taking charge over his office, CPI Prakash said that he has yet to gather information on the recent murder that happened in Bhatkal. Currently, one of the key accused in the murder case, Iqbal Shaikh, has been produced before the court. Separate police teams are in searching for the remaining accused.
