Bhatkal: As many as 435 students from Uttara Kannada district along with 54 from Bhatkal failed to appear for the lone pending second PU English Examination on Thursday.

In Bhatkal, a total of 1677 students in four centers Anjuman PU College, The New English PU College, Janata Vidyalaya, Shirali, and RNS PU College, Murdeshwar appeared for the exam.

The last subject of the PU examination – English—which was supposed to be held on March 23, was postponed due to the pandemic, after which the lockdown was clamped. 

As per the order from Department of Pre-University Education  all students to reached the centres at least an hour before the commencement of the examinations. Every student went thermal check and sanitise their hands before entering the exam hall as some center look long queue. Face masks are a must for both students and staff during exams.
