Bhatkal: Lion Sports Centre beat Royal Sports Centre by 40 runs in the T20 Final match of 'Square RSA Champion Trophy' organised by RSA Manki at Kochappu Ground in Manki around 30kms from Bhatkal, on Friday.
Royal Skipper Abdur Rab won the toss and elected to bowl first. Batting first, Lion scored 212 for 5 in 20 overs, Waseem Asarmatta 60 off 31 balls with 9 fours and two sixes, Naseem Asarmatta hit 38 off 19 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes, and Fusair Ganagwali unbeaten 45 off 38 balls with 5 fours and a six.
In reply, only Zuhaib Musba looked in good touch with 68 off 43 balls with 5 fours and 5 sixes, as Royal were restricted to 172 for 7.
Winning team Lion was awarded a Trophy and a cash prize of 50,000 INR, while runners-up Royal received a cash prize of 30,000 INR with the trophy.
Other awards declared at the closing ceremony included player of the tournament which was awarded to Alam Sawda of Manki RSA, Waseem Asarmatta of Lion was awarded as player of the final match, while the fair play award for discipline team of the tournament was bagged by YMSA, Bhatkal. Fusair Gangawali of Lion and Waqas Siddibapa of Royal managed to take up orange cap and purple cap respectively.
In the closing ceremony RSA Manki President Mohammed Aslam Chamundi, Chief Qazi of Jamaatul Muslimeen Manki Moulana Shakeel Sukri Nadvi, Jamaatul Muslimeen Manki President Ahmed Basha Abida, Jamaatul Muslimeen Manki General Secretary Irshad Quazi, Vice-President Moulana Quresh Qazi, Secretary Arfath Alibapu, Shareef Alibapu, Numair Sawda, Alam sawda, Shazman Kazi, Mustafa Sawda, Maulana Jawwad of Royal, Aqeeb sawada amongst others were present.
