Bhatkal: A tourist drowning in Murdeshwar beach was saved on Sunday, thanks to the alertness of lifeguards.

Tourist Manjunath (19) of Maddur in Mandya district had ventured into the sea for swimming but began drowning. Luckily, lifeguards rushed to his help and succeeded in getting him ashore.

Manjunath working as cleaner in Mandya urban local body had come to Murdeshwar on a picnic with his family of seven members.
