Gokarna: Alertness and timely intervention by Life Guards saved the life of a young tourist at Kudle beach in Gokarna on Thursday.

Rahul Jeet Kalit (21) of Assam along with three of his friends were on a  tour to Gokarna. They entered the sea to swim at Kudle beach but he was being carried away by the waves.

On seeing Rahul getting washed away, Life Guards Sanjeev Hoskatta, Nityanand Harikantra and tourist 
Mitra Keshav M entered the sea and successfully saved the tourist.

Rahul is said to be out of danger.
