Bhatkal: A bike rider was seriously injured in a leopard attack, near a government primary school under the limits of Nagavalli Forest Area near here on Sunday night.

The victim has been identified as K A Thomas of Nagavalli. The incident took place when Thomas was returning home after his work. He suffered severe injuries on the stomach, right hand and right leg. On the same day, the leopard has also attacked cattle and one more person. Thomas was given primary treatment at Nagavalli and admitted at the Government Hospital in Bhatkal, where he is undergoing treatment.
