Kundapur: A Kundapur youth who was working as an air-conditioning mechanic in Saudi Arabia was arrested by the police on charges of defamatory statements posted against the Saudi King and Mecca on Facebook.

Police said that the accused is Harish Bangera. He was working at Gulf Carton Factory.

Immediately after Saudi police arrested him for derogatory remarks on social media, Harish’s employment was terminated by his company. He is being detained there. Further details are awaited.
