Kumta: A gas cylinder burst out at a house in Devarhakkal region of Kumta on the afternoon of 18th August, Friday, as a result no kind of harm was made to residents as they were out during the time of incident. 

Reports from Kumta informed that the house belonging to Tanveer Shaikh witnessed the burst of kitchen gas cylinder when the residents of the house were out for Friday prayers. Luckily, there was no kind of harm to anybody in the incident.

The house keeper, who was guarding the home, observed the fire raising up and immediately phoned up to Fire brigade personnel. Though the road reaching the house of Tanveer Shaikh is too narrow, the fire brigade vehicle failed to enter that road. However, they managed to rush to the spot using their two wheeler services facility in bullet bikes. 

It was also learned that the major tragedy was averted with the help of fire brigade personnel.
