Kumta: A body of a woman was recovered from the main beach here at Gokarna in Kumta taluk on Wednesday morning.

The deceased is identified as Gregori Robert Wright (44), a resident of England.

Sources said that the deceased woman had been living in Gokarna with her family for the last ten years. Yesterday on Tuesday evening, while fishing at Kudle beach, the woman slipped and fell into the sea and had went missing. However, her body was found this morning at the main beach.

Gokarna police have visited the site and sent the body for autopsy after collecting necessary details. Further are investigations are underway.
