Kumta: Biker killed on the spot after coming in collision with a tanker here on Mirzan NH-66 in the outskirts of Kumta on Friday.

The deceased is identified as Ramesh Harikanth (43), a resident of Kimani in Kumta.

Sources informed that the tragedy happened when the tanker was heading towards Kumta from Ankola. It is said that the tanker collided the bike and grabbed it along for almost four kilometers from the incident spot.

Fearing the incident, the tanker driver fled the scene. 

In this regard a case has been registered in Kumta police station and further investigation is on.
