Kumta: Ideal English medium high school of Kumta achieved 89.74% overall result in SSLC for the academic year 2016-17. 

The top three students of Ideal high school, who were successful in making the institute proud after achieving distinction are Shameem Muktiyar Shaikh with 96% after scoring 600 out of 625, Jamaal Mansoor Abdul Khader Shaikh with 91.04% with score of 569 out of 625  and Muhammad Raihan Hussain Shaikh with 89.2% getting 558 out of 625.
