Kumta: The three year old kid who had sustained grievous injuries in an road accident between a car and the on NH-66 at Tandrakuli of Divagi in the taluk on Monday morning, succumbed to his injuries.

Shaswata (3 yrs), is the deceased. He was admitted to the Manipal hospital alongside others who were injured in the accident for treatment.

The car driver Prasanna Prabhakar Rao of Suratkal and Nandini Shasikala (52 yrs), died on the spot, while others had sustained injuries in the mishap.

According to the sources, they were traveling from Suratkal to Gokarna. The car was over speeding and lost control.

A case about this accident was filed in Kumta police station.
