Mangaluru:  The Home department has decided to provide security to Mangaluru MLA and former minister U T Khader.

The decision has been taken in the wake of the recent attack on former minister Tanveer Sait. Even as an MLA or minister, Sait never had a gunman around him.

The Mangaluru city police said that U T Khader will be given a gunman when he returns to Mangaluru after the by-election campaign in Hunsur.
