Mangaluru: The Dakshina Kannada district policearrested a person in connection with a burglary and recovered 140 grams gold and a mobile phone from him on Friday.

On August 2, Rameed, 32, a resident of Mallapuram district in Kerala, had entered the house of Mohammed Rafique, a resident of Peraje. Rameed had fled with Rs 1.95 lakh and valuables worth Rs 7 lakh. A case had been registered at Vittal police station in this regard. Police, who started the investigation, tracked Rameed and arrested him in Mallapuram on Friday. He was produced before a court and remanded in judicial custody.
