Kasargod: In a fight between the DYFI and RSS activists which took place on 15th August, Tuesday near here, around 19 persons were injured.
According to the sources, the activists from these two rival political groups were returning in the evening after the Independence Day rally at Korapara, when a fight erupted between them at Mavungal near here.
The CPI(M) district secretary stated that about 8 activists from DYFI were injured in the fight and among them 2 are serious. Treatment is provided to them at Kannur. “Whereas, 11 BJP and RSS members have been injured and are being treated at Nileshwar”, said BJP district secretary Srikanth.
Cases have been registered by the police under various sections, but so far no arrest have been made.
