Karwar: Superintendent of Police Shivaprakash Devaraju inaugurated the Traffic Management Centre at the traffic police station in Karwar on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said, if anyone violates the traffic rules, notice will be issued to his/her house directly.

CCTV cameras have been installed at Subhas Circle, Savita Hotel Circle, Hoovina Chauk Circle and Shivaji Circle to keep a hawk’s eye on the movement of vehicles. The cameras help to capture photographs of drivers who violate the traffic rules. Hence, action would be taken against the violators, he warned.

He said, the cameras work round the clock. They send photographs to the traffic management centre. If anyone is found violating the rules, he/she will be caught easily, he added.
