Karwar: A Swedish citizen who tried to sneak into Seabird naval base here on Friday was caught and sent to 14 days judicial custody.

Accused Swen Alexandar Seger (27) had arrived in Goa on September 18 for learning Yoga at Sampoorna Resort at Kankon beach. But as there were complaints of him behaving indecently with women there, he was sent out of the resort.

Later, he walked along the coastline for 36 km and reached Karwar. When he tried to swim in Kamat Beach coming under the limits of Seabird Naval Base in Karwar, he was caught by the Naval Security Force and was subjected to an enquiry. He was then handed over to Karwar Rural Police.

Police said that the man seems to be mentally unwell and did not co-operate during enquiry. They have continued investigation.
