Karwar: Indian Navy has opened up its three hospitals in Western Command, including Indian Naval Hospital Ship (INHS) Patanjali docked at Karwar Naval Base, for civilians following a rapid surge in Covid-19 cases.

The Indian Navy has made arrangements to treat the Covid-19 patients at INHS Jeevanti (Goa), INHS Sandhani (Mumbai) and INHS Patanjali (Karwar). The hospital ships have been readied with oxygen beds and necessary facilities to be used for treating the infected civilians.

The naval authorities are providing provisions to stranded migrant workers in all three bases of Western Command, said a press release by Indian Navy.
