Karwar: Intoxicated navy staff was beaten black and blue by the public after he was accused of driving his car recklessly crashing over multiple vehicles one after the other. The incident happened on Saturday evening near Navy gate in Binaga in Karwar.

According to sources, accused, Raja Sham, in an inebriated condition drove his car near Navy gate hitting four vehicles one by one and tried to flee the scene. In the incident, all four cars have been reported damaged along with Raja Sham's car. However, when Raja Sham stopped his car in front of navy gate, the occupants of all four cars surrounded him and beat him black and blue. Observed this by other navy staffs, immediately rushed to rescue Raja Sham, which was useless as enraged public continued to express their anger.

The entire scene was recorded and video went viral on social media platforms.

A case has been registered at Karwar traffic police station.
