Karwar: The national highway 66, which passes through the city, is now the four lane highway. The residents of Kodibag region staged a protest on NH-66, demanding underpass route for the locals near the highway passing through Kodibag. 

The protestors urged that there are schools and colleges in the region, where people need to cross the road to reach there. This may also give a chance for road accidents on the highway. So the need for underpass is necessary. They also threatened that they may launch a huge protest in further days in case their demand isn't fulfilled.
