Dubai: A delegation of Karnataka Sangha Dubai met Karnataka Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker and Bhatkal-Honnavar MLA Mankal S. Vaidya during his visit to Dubai and invited him to attend the organisation’s Karnataka Rajyotsava celebrations as the chief guest on November 22.
The meeting was held at a gathering hosted at the residence of Dr. Anas Mohtisham, a member of the Sangha. The event provided an opportunity for the organisation to introduce its activities and objectives to the visiting legislator and discuss issues concerning Bhatkal.
Addressing the gathering, Karnataka Sangha Dubai president Shashidhar Nagarajappa outlined the organisation’s initiatives and said it was committed to promoting the Kannada language, culture and traditions among the Kannada-speaking community in the United Arab Emirates.
During the interaction, Dr. Anas Mohtisham, Nazim Patel, S.M. Muaz, Jilani Mohtisham and Dr. Ismail Qaziya held discussions with Vaidya on various local issues and matters of importance concerning Bhatkal.
The gathering was also attended by Miran Manigar, president of Green Valley International School, Shirur; Abu Mohammed Mukhtasar of the Manki Jamaat; and Ameen Saifullah of the Murdeshwar Jamaat, along with several other members of the community.
