Bengaluru: Following continuation of COVID-19 second wave, the Karnataka government is contemplating to vaccinate II PUC students who are appearing for examinations later this year.
Minister for Primary and Secondary Education S Suresh Kumar said that the examining the possibility of II PUC students for a vaccination before conducting the examinations later this year.
He said in this connection a decision will be taken after further discussions with the more health experts and officials.
Stating that some experts have recommended us to do so, he however said that a final decision will be taken after discussion with Minister for Health Dr K Sudhakar. It was also said that it was a challenging task since students are 17 years old while covid vaccination driver is open at present to only for aged 18 years.
